Chapter 619: Surprise Thunder Dragon
Chapter 619: Surprise Thunder Dragon
Inside the private viewing room, the atmosphere changed the moment Kaelvar transformed into his true dragon form.
The Ignis elder, who had been silent until now, finally smiled.
His golden eyes watched the arena with calm pride as Kaelvar’s massive flame dragon body pressured Dahlia again and again.
"This is the result of true dragon inheritance," the elder said slowly.
Alira frowned slightly from the side.
Her eyes remained fixed on Dahlia, who had just been blasted into the arena wall by Kaelvar’s tail.
Even though Dahlia had stood up again, it was clear that Kaelvar’s dragon form had completely changed the flow of the battle.
"Dahlia is being pushed back," Alira said quietly.
The elder nodded calmly. "Of course."
He looked toward Garion. "A dragon raised in a lower world and awakened through luck may have talent, but talent alone is not enough."
Garion didn’t answer.
Instead, he watched Dahlia climb out of the cracked wall.
Then suddenly...
"Hahaha..."
He started laughing.
Alira turned toward him in surprise.
Even the Ignis elder frowned slightly.
Garion leaned forward with both hands clasped together, his grin wider than ever. "Not over yet."
The elder’s eyes narrowed. "You still believe she can turn this around?"
Garion looked at him like the question itself was strange. "Of course."
The elder let out a faint chuckle. "You are confident."
Garion smiled. "I’m her master."
The elder’s expression became colder. "Confidence does not change reality. Kaelvar has revealed his true dragon form. His flame, body, endurance, and bloodline pressure have all increased greatly."
He glanced back toward the arena. "Your disciple is strong, but she is still inexperienced compared to a dragon raised by our Ignis Family."
Garion’s grin didn’t fade.
The elder continued, his tone carrying faint mockery now. "Perhaps this will be a good lesson for her. Refusing the guidance of a true dragon family has consequences."
Alira’s frown deepened slightly, but she remained silent.
Garion only laughed again. "Hahaha..."
The elder looked at him. "What is so funny?"
Garion’s eyes stayed locked on Dahlia. "You really think she’s already shown everything?"
The elder paused.
Garion leaned back lazily. "Watch carefully."
His grin turned sharp. "My disciple is at her scariest..."
On the arena screen, Dahlia’s storm aura slowly began rising again. "...when she starts enjoying the fight."
---
Back in the arena, Dahlia slowly pushed herself out of the cracked wall.
Her arms were burned, her clothes were scorched, and blood ran from the corner of her mouth.
Yet...
Her grin only became wider.
Kaelvar looked down at her from his giant flame dragon form, crimson flames burning around his massive body. "You are still smiling?"
Dahlia wiped the blood from her lips with her thumb. "Hahaha..."
Her eyes began glowing with wild disaster energy. "Of course."
She rolled her shoulders as thunder flickered around her body. "I was just thinking..."
Kaelvar narrowed his golden dragon eyes.
Dahlia lifted her head and grinned. "Let’s test my new ability."
The moment she said that, the storm above the arena suddenly changed.
Black clouds twisted violently, gathering into a massive spiral. Thunder roared across the sky, and black-blue lightning began condensing into a gigantic shape above Dahlia.
The entire crowd stared upward in shock.
"What is that?"
"Is she creating something?"
"No... that shape..."
Inside the private viewing room, the Ignis elder’s expression finally changed.
Garion leaned forward, his grin becoming sharper. "Ohhh..."
Alira’s eyes narrowed slightly. "A dragon?"
Above the arena, the lightning finally took form.
A massive thunder dragon emerged from the storm.
Its body was made entirely of black-blue lightning, with glowing eyes, jagged horns, and wings formed from violent electric arcs.
It circled above Dahlia like a living calamity.
Kaelvar’s flame dragon eyes widened slightly.
Dahlia raised one hand and pointed at him. "Go."
ROOOOOOOOAAAAARRRRR!!!
The thunder dragon roared and dove from the sky.
Kaelvar immediately opened his jaws.
[Ignis Dragon Breath]
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Crimson flames blasted upward.
The thunder dragon met the flames head-on.
BOOOOOOM!!!
Lightning and fire exploded across the arena, shaking the protective barrier until cracks of light appeared across its surface.
For a moment, Kaelvar’s dragon breath pushed the thunder dragon back.
But then Dahlia clenched her fist. "Bite him."
CRACKLE!!!
The thunder dragon twisted through the flames and slammed directly into Kaelvar’s massive body.
BOOOOOOM!!!
Black-blue lightning exploded across his crimson scales.
Kaelvar roared in pain as his enormous dragon body was pushed backward for the first time since transforming.
The crowd went completely insane.
"She summoned a dragon!"
"A thunder dragon!"
"Her disaster power can create dragons?!"
Kaelvar dug his claws into the arena floor, trying to stop himself.
But the thunder dragon wrapped around his body like a living storm, biting into his wings and clawing across his scales.
Dahlia stepped forward beneath the raging lightning, her grin wild and proud. "You showed me your real dragon form."
Her eyes shone brighter. "So I’ll show you mine."
Kaelvar roared and unleashed more flame, but the thunder dragon crashed into him again.
BOOOOOOM!!!
His massive body slid backward, flames scattering in every direction.
The arena floor shattered beneath his claws as he tried to stabilize himself. "Damn you!"
Kaelvar’s dragon wings spread wide, and crimson fire gathered around his entire body like a blazing sun.
[Ignis Dragon Furnace]
BOOOOOOM!!!
A ring of dragon flames erupted outward, forcing the thunder dragon to loosen its grip for a brief moment.
Kaelvar took that chance to twist his massive body and bite directly toward the thunder dragon’s neck.
CRACKLE!!!
Flame-covered fangs sank into lightning.
The thunder dragon roared as its body distorted, but it did not disappear.
Instead, it exploded into countless arcs of lightning that wrapped around Kaelvar from every direction.
Kaelvar’s golden eyes widened. "What?"
Dahlia’s laughter echoed from somewhere in the storm. "Hahaha! Looking for me?"
Kaelvar immediately turned his massive head.
But Dahlia was gone.
Only storm clouds, thunder, and violent wind filled the arena.
The crowd looked around in shock.
"Where did she go?!"
"She disappeared!"
"No, the storm is hiding her!"
Kaelvar flapped his wings violently, trying to burn away the storm surrounding him.
Crimson flames surged outward, tearing through the wind currents.
But the next second... A voice suddenly came from above. "Wrong place."
Kaelvar’s pupils shrank.
He looked up.
But Dahlia was not above him.
Her voice had come from there, but her body appeared from the side, carried by a violent spiral of wind.
Black-blue lightning wrapped around her fist.
Her grin was wild. "Got you."
Kaelvar tried to turn his head, but the thunder dragon’s remaining lightning chains tightened around his body for one final moment.
Just enough.
Dahlia’s fist slammed straight into his massive dragon head.
[Disaster Thunder Dragon Punch]
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The impact exploded like a storm falling from the heavens.
Thunder detonated against Kaelvar’s skull.
The entire arena shook violently as Kaelvar’s huge dragon body was blasted sideways, crashing headfirst into the ground.
CRAAAAAACK!!!
The floor split apart beneath him.
Crimson flames scattered helplessly.
Dahlia landed on top of his head, crouching slightly with one fist still pressed against his scales.
For a moment, silence filled the arena.
Then she slowly stood up, her silver-gray hair dancing in the storm.
She looked down at Kaelvar and grinned. "Real dragon power, huh?"
Thunder rumbled behind her. "Not bad."
Then her grin widened. "But God Gym’s dragon hits harder."
