Hannah Hargrave’s righteous accusations did not earn Nicholas Croft’s regret. Instead, he laughed sarcastically, stuck one hand in the pocket of his lounge pants, and leisurely walked towards the sofa.

Xiao Mei was watching TV and quickly moved to sit on the edge of the sofa when she saw him approaching.

Nicholas Croft leaned lazily on the sofa, chuckling softly, "That’s your concern. As for me, a man with looks and money is all that matters. Besides, I don’t rely on fans for a living. As a member of the entertainment industry, creating some gossip topics for the internet users should make them happy."

"You!" Inside Nicholas Croft’s villa, Hannah Hargrave held a phone in one hand and had the other on her hip, her chest heaving up and down, clearly agitated by Nicholas Croft’s indifferent attitude.

Thinking it was the limit, Hannah didn’t expect Nicholas’ next words to almost make her throw her phone.

"Anything else?" Nicholas asked nonchalantly, and before Hannah could say anything, he continued, "If not, I’m hanging up. I just got off the plane and I’m exhausted, need some exercise to adjust."

Everyone is an adult; Hannah knew what kind of exercise Nicholas was referring to. Just as she was about to give another stern rebuke, the busy tone already came through the receiver.

"Bastard!" Hannah cursed in anger. In the kitchen, Aunt Wang said to Panda Eyes, who was wagging his tail beside her, "Looks like I’m in for it again. Panda Eyes, you better protect me when that nasty woman makes things difficult for me later. If you let me walk away in anger, you’ll be the next one in trouble."

"Woof woof," Panda Eyes barked twice as if understanding Aunt Wang, then turned its head and ran out of the kitchen. Before long, Aunt Wang heard Panda Eyes and Hannah’s voices.

One was barking endlessly, and the other was shouting in panic, "Auntie, take this beast away..."

Aunt Wang put down her work, grabbed a cloth to wipe her hands, and walked out. "You creature! Why are you barking! The master isn’t home, and you think you can throw your weight around? Just wait for the master to come back and see how he deals with you!"

Aunt Wang scolded Panda Eyes while taking off her shoes and throwing them. Panda Eyes whimpered and dodged nimbly, darting towards the stairs.

Seeing Hannah’s not-so-pleasant expression, Aunt Wang smiled as she came out with slippers. "Ma’am, please don’t mind, this creature just cannot be treated well. You treat her well with food and comfort, and she always finds ways to oppose and give you trouble."

Aunt Wang shuffled her slippers and returned to the kitchen. Watching Aunt Wang’s back, Hannah frowned unhappily, wondering if this old woman was criticizing her in a roundabout way.

But right now, she wasn’t in the mood to bother about this. Her mind was full of images of Nicholas Croft and that internet celebrity’s entanglements. Just thinking about Nicholas being with another woman made Hannah jealously furious. She bit her lip, her beautiful eyes tense with a look of determination.
