Chapter 756: Excitement
Chapter 756: Excitement
For someone of Jared Quinn’s status to appear on camera is simply unthinkable,"You can give it a try," Nina King continued, "Have you and Jared not had a romance since getting married? You can use the show to rekindle the romance, really."
Melody Thorne: "..."
Quinn Corporation.
Jared Quinn came out of the meeting room and saw Melody Thorne quietly sitting on the sofa waiting for him, which was a rare display of such obedience.
"What are you thinking about, hmm?" Jared Quinn stretched his arms around her and pulled her into his embrace.
"Don’t always hold me," Melody Thorne blushed. "Can’t you see Simon Sutton is here too? Holding me like this, what are you thinking?"
"It’s fine, ma’am, my eyesight hasn’t been too good lately. Just go on, carry on," Simon Sutton deliberately kept his head down, sorting through the documents on the table.
"Don’t mind him. His eyesight is poor. What do you want for lunch? I’ll have someone bring it."
"I’ll just have your company’s meal," Melody Thorne replied.
"No, how can my daughter eat the employees’ meals?" Jared Quinn placed his large hand gently on her stomach and stroked it a few times. "Come on, tell Daddy what you want to eat?"
"Hehe," Melody Thorne couldn’t help but laugh, "She hasn’t made a peep. How is she supposed to tell you?"
"I’ll listen," Jared Quinn wrapped his arms around her waist and listened intently, as if it were entirely plausible that her belly might speak.
"What’s she saying?" Melody Thorne’s fingers played with Jared Quinn’s hair.
"Hmm, she says she wants sweet and sour ribs, crystal shrimp, and braised fish," Jared Quinn lifted his head, speaking with complete seriousness.
"Those are clearly my favorites."
"Exactly, she must be like you. You love them, so she loves them too."
Melody Thorne: "..."
"Go ahead and buy them, we’ll eat in the office," Jared Quinn instructed Simon Sutton.
"Sure."
While eating, Melody Thorne was overly attentive to Jared Quinn.
"This is for you."
"And this too."
The food in Jared Quinn’s bowl was piling up like a small mountain, and Melody Thorne’s behavior was noticeably different from a few days ago.
But he didn’t intend to ask why, knowing her little temper. This little ungrateful heartthrob would certainly leave once she achieved her small goal.
After the meal, Melody Thorne sat on the sofa reviewing the new show’s materials sent by Nina King. It really seemed like a program that would become immensely popular, and she was genuinely interested. How wonderful it was, wilderness survival, and exciting too.
"Melody, how’s it going? Did he agree to participate? I think if you both go, it’ll be a hit," Nina King had sent numerous messages urging for a response.
"I guess it won’t work. I haven’t asked yet. I’ll get back to you tomorrow."
"Alright then."
An hour later at 2 PM, Jared Quinn finished dealing with all the paperwork, glanced at the time, and grabbed his coat. "Let’s go, Timmy should be waiting for us."
"Timmy?" Melody Thorne stuck out her tongue.
They say pregnancy makes you dumb for three years, and she felt like she was already getting dumber, forgetting about Timmy’s matters.
"Did he say it’s this afternoon? Should I change clothes?"
"No need, let’s go," Jared Quinn started the car.
Timmy attended an elite kindergarten, and Jared had been a rather neglectful father, having shown up at his school only a few times, usually leaving all matters to the caretaker.
