Chapter 17 New Options
Chapter 17 New Options
For the first time, Su Jue felt so deeply how insignificant she was. Compared to the universe, Earth was so small, and she was just another insignificant part of that tiny Earth.
He reached out his hand to Earth, and with that one movement, space seemed to be torn apart and stretched in an instant. Moments later, he found himself directly above Earth.
The space he was in changed constantly as his thoughts shifted. He floated in the sky, watching vibrant cities pass by before his eyes, finally settling on his hometown—Pingchuan City.
Su Jue finally stopped floating and landed on this familiar land.
It feels so real here; everything seems exactly like reality.
Su Jue walked and looked around until he arrived at Jinxiu Jiayuan, where even the house he had blown up in his dream was recreated.
Su Jue had a sudden thought and decided to take this opportunity to go to the cemetery.
He stepped into that cemetery once again, but this time there were no hybrid monsters, no pursuers.
Su Jue surveyed the cemetery twice but found nothing suspicious.
Just as Su Jue was about to leave, he was once again pulled back into that vast and boundless universe. Only this time, unlike before, there was someone in front of him.
The person was strange, moving around in space as if walking, but when the person turned around, Su Jue realized it was himself.
"Who are you?" Su Jue subconsciously gripped his right hand, but even in this dream, he couldn't use any magic.
"You talk about me every day, but now that you've actually met me, you're asking who I am?" Su Jue said as she walked over.
His face slowly changed, and when he got to Su Jue's side, it became Su Huai: "Oh dear, I'm quite sad."
Su Jue stared wide-eyed at the other person's changing expression, as if he were thinking of someone he always talked about—
A multitude of beings.
"How is it? Did you think of me?" he asked again, his face now reverting to Xu Menghe's.
"Why do you have the right to interfere with me?" Su Jue asked expressionlessly.
What he meant was that everyone agrees that God cannot interfere with reality.
"Do you really believe we can't interfere with Earth's affairs?" Xu Menghe smiled, and with a wave of her hand, the Earth behind Su Jue began to distort and finally exploded.
"But this isn't reality, is it?" Su Jue turned around and glanced at the shattered Earth.
He firmly believed that the other party was definitely lying to him. If the other party could really have a huge direct impact on the earth, then everything that had happened over the past few years would not make sense.
Why do gods only ever bestow power upon humanity, never descending themselves?
This includes the confrontation with the end of the world and Him, which shows that they can only fight indirectly through things on earth.
"I'm still bringing you in here, aren't I?" "Xu Menghe" spread her hands, displaying everything that belonged to her.
"Stop talking nonsense. Why did you save me from the apocalypse?" Su Jue showed no reverence for the gods whatsoever.
He was actually quite worried. The fact that all the different kinds of beings could pull him into this dream showed that the gods were not as powerless to interfere with the earth as people said.
But he still maintained an air of fearlessness, lest He find a weakness.
"I give you my power." "Xu Menghe" melted in an instant and then disappeared, her voice coming from all directions of the universe.
"What?" Su Jue seemed afraid that she had misheard, so she asked again.
"By reciting my true name, you can use my power. How much you can use is up to you, but the price is that you will die in two years." That grand voice came again and echoed throughout the universe.
"Why did you give me power? And why didn't you come out sooner?" Su Jue looked around, trying to find the source of all the people in the world.
"I need you to help me kill the End of Days. As for the second question, I couldn't find you because he was next to you before."
"Who? Fang Qi?" Su Jue asked again, but this time the crowd didn't answer. "Explain yourself! Hey! Where are you?"
"I've always been here. From the moment you walked in, all you've seen is me."
The moment those words were spoken, Su Jue seemed to be pulled out of that space by a tremendous gravitational force.
Sunlight was already streaming into the room; it was dawn.
Su Jue checked the time on her phone: 6:30.
He went downstairs to the kitchen to see if there was anything to eat, but when he opened the refrigerator, it was empty.
Her family is so rich, why don't they hire a nanny or something?
Su Jue sighed inwardly, and then decided to go out to buy some groceries and come back to make breakfast.
But when he stepped out the door, the scene before him made him unconsciously take two steps back.
On the streets, the dead and the wounded replaced the pedestrians who should have been walking, and the smell of blood masked most of the other smells.
Scattered on the ground were human limbs and torsos, and flowing blood, some fresh and some congealed.
The imagery and the smell assaulted Su Jue's mind, and he quickly retreated, gently closing the door behind him. He was currently without any special abilities and was no match for them.
But Su Jue was momentarily distracted, and the scene before him changed as if in a dream. Xu Menghe was being torn apart and bitten by the dead right in front of him.
Blood flowed to Su Jue's feet, and for some reason, his legs became immobile. He could only stand there, watching as the dead devoured Xu Menghe until not even bones remained, before finally turning their gaze to himself.
Su Jue closed his eyes, preparing to face this sudden death, but when he opened his eyes again, all the previous images had disappeared.
The universe is vast and boundless.
"How is it? Although it deviates a bit from the future, those people who died are real." The voice of all living beings rang out.
So it was all a dream after all.
"Why should I believe you?" Su Jue really didn't want to believe this guy, after all, his motives and the way he invited her were very strange.
Who knows, he might have used that power to bring Him into being.
"You'll need it." The voice of all beings rang out for the last time, and then Su Jue woke up in bed once again.
6:30
Su Jue repeated everything she had done in her dream, doing it exactly the same way until she left the house.
Su Jue placed her hand on the door, pondered for a moment, and then opened it.
The sun shines brightly outside the window, pedestrians spread their laughter on the streets, and occasionally one or two birds fly across the azure sky, bringing vitality to Pingchuan City.
Su Jue breathed a sigh of relief, slowly walked to the nearby vegetable market, bought some groceries she usually ate, and prepared to go home.
Su Huai and Jiang Qin have been gone for a week. They said they were going to take care of some things before they left, but they haven't finished yet. Fortunately, Su Huai sends a message every day to let her know he's safe, otherwise Su Jue would be worried sick.
It was 11:30 when Xu Menghe rubbed her eyes and came out of her room. She thought she might have been sleeping too hard, because she could smell an enticing fragrance throughout the entire villa.
"Wow...you really did it?" Xu Menghe looked downstairs and saw that Su Jue had actually cooked a meal for her.
"I was originally planning to cook noodles, but it's almost noon, so I just stir-fried some vegetables instead. They're all home-style dishes. Do you like them?" Su Jue untied her apron and put it back in the kitchen cabinet.
"What are you talking about? I usually eat instant noodles, this is a delicacy to me." Xu Menghe rushed to the sink to wash up.
Su Jue set out the rice bowls, intending to put the matter of the various characters aside for now and discuss it together with Su Huai when he returned.
……
"Little Qinqin, are you sure you can handle this? There are so many of them!" Su Huai sat on the ground and poked the ants with a twig.
Before him and Jiang Qin were even more numerous life-or-death opponents than before.
"Stop talking nonsense, or you come!" Jiang Qin threw out another chip, the words shattered, and the entire space was divided into two parts, one half of the ground was spewing flames, and the other half was covered with ice.
"I should use my abilities sparingly and save them for everyone else. Good luck!" Su Huai smiled as he watched Jiang Qin's determined figure as he worked hard.
"Then stop talking nonsense and tell me, where exactly is this place?" Since the fight started as soon as Su Huai brought him in, Jiang Qin didn't ask any more questions.
It has been almost an hour now, and people are still dying one after another.
"His incarnation on Earth should be considered something like the underworld. By the way, seven days have already passed outside," Su Huaifeng explained casually.
"Why didn't you say something like this sooner? Su Huai, you son of a bitch!" Jiang Qin cursed angrily.
"Little Qinqin, wait a little longer." Su Huai put down the branch and crushed an ant with his finger.
"He must die."
