128: The Implied Meaning
Han Wen spent several nights in a row fooling around at Teacher Yu's place, refusing to leave even after being kicked out of bed. He even had the audacity to call it "exchanging acting skills."
The two of them would go to the film academy for training together in the morning and return to Teacher Yu's place in the evening, just like a couple deeply in love or a young married couple, living a very carefree life.
If Han Qingyan hadn't personally called Han Wen, he could have continued to act like a rogue. There was no other way; Teacher Yu was about to leave the country, and he was somewhat reluctant to part with her.
After that, the two were separated by the ocean, and they didn't even have the chance to meet, let alone practice their acting skills together.
"If it weren't for my mom calling, I wouldn't have answered the call at all." After finishing his call with his mother, Han Wen said to Teacher Yu, "I'm sorry, Teacher Yu. I probably won't have time to come over and keep you company in the evenings anymore."
"You don't need to apologize or feel regretful. Actually, I'm already quite content these past few days." Teacher Yu shook her head: "I know you're very busy, and I won't keep you hanging on here."
"We can still meet at the academy in the future, which is great. But if Feifei and Yao Nulang go out to film, it will be difficult for them to see you."
"Teacher Yu, you know what, it's really the case." Han Wen nodded: "Time flies, Feifei will be joining the crew in a few days. But she still doesn't know about it."
Yao Yao has started working now, but I completely forgot to visit her new house. This isn't just a miscalculation, it's a huge mistake!
"With so many women around you, it's bound to cause trouble. What, are you regretting it now?" Teacher Yu asked with a smile.
"Regret? That's impossible." Han Wen shook his head, stubbornly insisting, "Including you, I only have three women around me right now, not even enough for a mahjong game."
The revolution is not yet complete; I must continue my efforts. At the very least, I want to ensure that when you play cards, you'll never be short one player.
"Do you know exactly how many women you need to gather four of them together to play mahjong anytime?" Teacher Yu was utterly speechless. "Do you really think of yourself as an ancient emperor wanting three palaces, six courtyards, and seventy-two concubines?"
"I can always think about it, maybe it'll come true by accident," Han Wen laughed. Actually, he didn't have such big ambitions.
"Get out of here, you unfilial disciple, you're driving your master crazy." Teacher Yu joked with him, pushed him out of the yard, and even kicked him in the calf.
Han Wen was careless and almost tripped. When he turned around, ready to be a disobedient student, Teacher Yu had already closed the door and disappeared.
Hearing the giggles coming from behind the door, Han Wen felt quite proud. After several days of in-depth communication, Teacher Yu finally conceded.
After leaving Teacher Yu's house, Han Wen did not go straight home. Instead, he walked along the alley, intending to go to Yao Nulang's place to find the female knight.
When passing by the Queen of Sweet Songs' house, Han Wen paused briefly.
Unfortunately, Yang Tianmei and Mao Ning are constantly on the go these days, and they're away for work for days or even ten days at a time, making it difficult for him to even see them.
Han Wen walked for more than ten minutes and finally arrived at Yao Nulang's door. He stood at the door and began to knock.
Soon, the door opened, revealing the faces of Yao Girl and Bai Feifei.
Both men were surprised to see Han Wen. One of them grabbed a door, opened it, and welcomed him in.
The two women were so sensible and cooperated so well, which made Han Wen very happy.
He straightened his clothes, held his head high, and strode inside.
"Young Master Han, you haven't come over for so many days. I thought you had forgotten about Feifei and me," Yao Nulang said sweetly.
"Feifei is my woman, and you are my cash cow. I can't forget you."
"I was just busy with something and that's why I was delayed." Han Wen shook his head and replied with a smile, "Close the door, let's go to the main room."
The two women nodded, closed the door together, and followed Han Wen into the main room.
"Han Wen, you came here so suddenly, is it because Mom isn't angry anymore?" Bai Feifei asked with some concern.
"Feifei, I'm not trying to be mean, but Mom isn't calling you because she's angry."
"I'm so disappointed in you, so angry at your lack of ambition." Han Wen sighed as he walked, turning to look at Bai Feifei. "But you didn't give Mom..."
Do you know what it means to call and apologize?
"What does it represent?" Bai Feifei asked.
"You are a junior, which not only means you are ignorant, but also that you are rebellious, disloyal and unfilial."
I kept trying to reason with you and persuade Mom not to be angry. Otherwise, you might as well stay here forever and never go back.
"Han Wen, I'm afraid Mom will scold me, so I don't dare call home," Bai Feifei said, sounding aggrieved.
She was genuinely afraid of Han Qingyan because she knew his methods and skills best. Compared to him, she had absolutely no chance of fighting back or turning the tables.
"Mom is the elder, and you are the younger generation. So what if she scolds you a few times? When Mom scolds you, it's because she cares about you."
"If she ever stops scolding you, you're completely finished." Han Wen walked into the main room, sat down in a chair, and explained, "That's just how Mom is, sharp-tongued but soft-hearted."
If she scolds you, just listen obediently. Does she really intend to hit you?
"Mom is an intellectual, she's particular, not a mean mother-in-law, don't be afraid."
"Then I'll call Mom now, and after she's tired of yelling on the phone, I'll go back with you," Bai Feifei said cleverly.
"Hey lady, phone calls cost money. It's just a few steps from home, can't you be a little more frugal?" Han Wen shook his head: "Besides, since I've come to pick you up in person, it means I've already won over Mom."
Don't be afraid or worried. Just come back with me later.
"Really? Han Wen, thank you so much!" Bai Feifei was thrilled and finally relieved.
"Yao Girl, is my house alright?" Han Wen asked Yao Girl with a smile after comforting Bai Feifei.
"Young Master Han, please call me Yao Yao, I feel it's more intimate that way." Yao Yao replied with a smile, "Thank you for your kindness, Young Master Han. This house is lovely, I like it very much."
"I'm glad you like it. I'm relieved that you like it." Han Wen nodded. "From now on, you can live here without worry. Don't worry, this is a perk for the company's artists, there's no rent."
"Really? That's wonderful!" Yao Girl feigned surprise, then sighed, "What a pity, it's too spacious and lonely for me to live in such a big house all by myself."
"How old are you? You're already thinking about all this nonsense. At your age, this is the perfect time to pursue your dreams and make money. Don't miss out on this opportunity." Han Wen knew what the other person meant, but he didn't take the bait: "Don't worry, you're already an artist under Good Cabbage Culture Management."
I will definitely use money and connections to make you famous, to make you a household name across mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, bringing you both fame and fortune, and making you incredibly successful.
"Really? Young Master Han, you said it yourself, you have to keep your word!" Yao Girl was overjoyed. "Feifei, did you hear that? Young Master Han is going to promote me, he's going to promote me a lot!"
"You're wrong. I'm not praising you, I'm strongly supporting you," Han Wen corrected him, inwardly chuckling, "Heh heh, Yao Girl, in this round, you may be standing on a high building, but I'm standing on the clouds."
"Yes, I strongly support you. Young Master Han, you truly deserve to be called a rising star in the literary world and a great screenwriter. You used that word so accurately." Yao Girl immediately understood the implied meaning in Han's words and was even happier, her whole body becoming somewhat restless.
