Chapter 260 - 259 Ye Hao is Happy
Chapter 260 - 259 Ye Hao is Happy
Ye Hao was just about to head to the cafeteria at noon.A young soldier saw him and asked curiously.
"Company Commander, are you going to eat in the cafeteria?"
"Yeah, why?"
Ye Hao looked at him.
"Your wife is here, aren’t you going home to eat?"
"My wife?"
Ye Hao quickly asked, afraid the young soldier had seen wrong.
"Yes, I saw her coming back, and she was holding a baby."
The soldier quickly replied to prove that he saw Gu Yi.
As soon as he finished speaking, he felt a gust of wind pass by his face.
When he looked up again, Ye Hao had already run far away.
The company commander’s eagerness showed that he really missed his wife.
Ye Hao ran back home to see Gu’s mother cooking in the kitchen while Gu Yi was in the room tidying up Ye Huan’s things.
Ye Hao quickly greeted Gu’s mother and went straight to the room.
He saw Ye Huan sleeping at the door and quickly lightened his steps.
He hugged Gu Yi’s waist from behind.
Gu Yi turned her head and smiled at him, then softly said.
"You’re back."
Ye Hao kissed Gu Yi’s face.
"You finally came. Did you finish your exams?"
Gu Yi made a shushing gesture with her finger to her lips and pointed outside.
She worried that if they talked in the room, they might wake up Ye Huan.
Ye Hao understood her gesture, loosened his hold on her.
Then, half-hugging her, he led Gu Yi out of the room.
"I finished my exams yesterday. Afraid you missed me too much, I hurried over today, okay?"
Gu Yi looked eager to be praised.
"You’re truly wonderful. You have no idea how much I’ve missed you. Come, give me a kiss."
Ye Hao hugged Gu Yi tightly, his lips about to meet hers.
Just then, Gu’s mother entered the living room with dishes and saw them.
"Hey, hey, hey."
Gu’s mother quickly placed the dishes on the table and retreated to the kitchen, smiling.
"Time to eat. Whatever you’re doing, finish it up quickly."
At the kitchen door, Gu’s mother turned back and smilingly said.
When Gu’s mother called out, Gu Yi blushed and pushed Ye Hao away.
When the living room only had the two of them left.
Gu Yi shyly slapped Ye Hao lightly.
"You’re always so eager, aren’t you? Now mom saw us."
"It’s fine; I saw mom was quite happy seeing us like that. She probably wishes our relationship to be even better."
Ye Hao was all smiles and pride.
"Oh, stop it. Go wash your hands and eat. When Huanhuan wakes up, it won’t be so peaceful."
Gu Yi nudged Ye Hao.
"Mom said we should finish what we started, so let’s continue."
Ye Hao saw Gu Yi’s blushing face and teased her intentionally.
"Then continue on your own. I’m going to see if there’s anything I can help with in the kitchen."
Gu Yi quickly pushed Ye Hao away and headed to the kitchen.
Feeling a bit embarrassed after entering.
"You’re still shy in front of your mother? Seeing you two so close makes me happier. Take these bowls out; it’s almost time to eat."
Seeing Gu Yi’s flushed face, Gu’s mother laughed.
"It’s embarrassing to be seen."
Gu Yi said with a hint of coquettishness.
Then quickly grabbed the bowls and left the kitchen.
Watching Gu Yi’s back, Gu’s mother laughed and shook her head.
They hadn’t finished their meal when they heard Ye Huan crying from the room.
The three sitting at the table quickly set down their bowls and stood up.
"Mom, Yiyi, you keep eating. I’ll go pick up Huanhuan."
Ye Hao quickly stopped Gu’s mother and Gu Yi, telling them to finish their meal.
"Mom, let’s continue our meal and let this young dad experience the joy of taking care of a baby."
Gu Yi smiled at Gu’s mother and then sat back down to continue eating.
Gu’s mother, somewhat worried, followed to the doorway of the room.
Only to see Ye Hao first teasing Ye Huan.
"Huanhuan, it’s Daddy. Do you remember?"
But Ye Hao spoke for a while, and Ye Huan continued crying, completely ignoring Ye Hao.
"Do you want Daddy to hold you? Let me check if you’re wet."
Ye Hao touched the diaper and found it a bit damp.
He looked up and found the diaper Gu Yi placed by the bedside.
Ye Hao quickly took one and changed Ye Huan.
Then he picked her up.
Once picked up, Ye Huan stopped crying, curiously looking at Ye Hao.
"Why are you staring at Daddy? Do you think Daddy looks more handsome after a few days apart?"
Ye Hao carried Ye Huan while teasing her as they walked out.
Gu’s mother, feeling assured seeing this, sat back at the dining table and hastily finished her meal.
So she could switch with Ye Hao later.
"Let me hold Huanhuan, and you eat first."
Gu Yi urged as she saw Ye Hao come out.
Sometimes at home, Ye’s mother would eat while holding Ye Huan.
"It’s alright, you eat first. I can use this chance to let Huanhuan get more familiar with me."
Ye Hao didn’t hand over Ye Huan to Gu Yi, continuing to stroll with her in the living room.
He even chatted with Ye Huan now and then.
"Ah, blood ties are remarkable. They don’t see each other often, yet Huanhuan isn’t shy with Ye Hao and behaves well in his arms."
Gu’s mother sighed as she ate.
Ye Hao felt delighted hearing that.
But after a while, Ye Huan got fussy again, crying continuously with no way to comfort her.
"Let me hold her; Huanhuan must be hungry."
Gu Yi instantly knew the reason for Ye Huan’s cries.
Ye Hao handed Ye Huan to Gu Yi quickly.
As soon as Ye Huan was in Gu Yi’s arms, she probably smelled the scent of milk on her and, while crying, started searching for her life source with an open mouth.
Once she found it, she started drinking greedily.
"You should eat while it’s still warm."
Gu Yi became slightly embarrassed noticing Ye Hao looking at her and urged him to go eat.
"Your food seems more appetizing."
Ye Hao teased with a smile.
"Behave and hurry up."
Gu Yi rolled her eyes at him, thankful they were in the room. Else, if her mom heard Ye Hao’s words.
She’d probably wish to find a hole to crawl into.
Ye Hao, seeing her expression, decided to stop teasing, afraid she’d get angry.
He left with a smile.
Perhaps due to the new environment or seeing Ye Hao causing excitement.
Ye Huan didn’t nap the entire afternoon.
Ye Hao’s teasing kept her laughing constantly.
"You should rest. You still have work this afternoon."
Gu Yi worried about Ye Hao getting tired without a nap and urged him to stop playing with Ye Huan.
"It’s fine. I’m in good shape; missing a nap doesn’t matter. If you’re tired, go ahead and sleep."
Ye Hao was in high spirits.
He felt for Gu Yi handling the baby alone.
He thought he could help lighten her load and let her relax a bit.
After Ye Hao went to work in the afternoon, Ye Huan suddenly seemed low-energy.
She started crying for a nap.
"Do you love your dad too much, or are you just considerate of your mom? As soon as your dad leaves, you want to sleep?"
Gu Yi, amused and puzzled, looked at Ye Huan’s antics.
She quickly fed her for a nap.
