Janelle finally realized that both Old Mills and Sister Sterling were not opposed to collaborating with each other; there was even direct communication between them, and they greatly acknowledged each other’s perspectives.With Trevor acting as a mediator, the relationship between them should ease up even faster.
Janelle Mills felt extremely grateful to Trevor for pulling off today’s plan without her knowing, intending to keep it from her!
As dinner was about to conclude, Trevor seemed to suddenly remember something, and he preemptively said to the two elders, "Uncle, Aunt, could Janelle leave with me later?"

Nathan Mills nodded in agreement, "Sure, ten isn’t late," with a reassuring smile, "With you protecting her, it’s safe even if it’s later."
Carlotta Sterling of course found it hard to refuse, so she smiled nervously, "Okay."
Dinner ended at around ten past eight, and everyone had one final toast, drinking the wheat tea in their cups.
Then they got up to leave.
As the group reached the doorway, a valet quickly approached, urgently saying, "Mr. Trevor, is that car yours? It looks like the tire might have a leak."
Everyone followed his pointing direction, their gaze landing on Carlotta Sterling’s car.
The group followed the valet to the car, and under the streetlamp’s light, they clearly saw two tires were flat.
What happened?
Carlotta Sterling was very puzzled, clearly remembering everything was normal when she parked.
"Maybe it accidentally hit a nail," Trevor speculated, then gently wrapped his arm around Janelle’s shoulder and said warmly, "I’ll handle Aunt’s car, Uncle, you first take Aunt home."
Saying this, he took out his phone and dialed a number, "Simon, a car parked at Serenity Gardens, plate XXXXX, has flat tires. Please get someone to repair it."
Trevor hung up the phone and spoke to Carlotta Sterling again, "Aunt, let Uncle take you home first. Once the car is repaired, I’ll have Simon bring it over to you."

He was worried Carlotta Sterling might refuse, but since she didn’t and answered in silence, he felt more assured.
"You two go first, we’re not in a rush." Trevor looked at him, then at the middle-aged woman beside him, "Aunt, get in the car."
Carlotta Sterling didn’t want to delay the youngsters’ time either and since the location was quite remote, getting a taxi was almost impossible.
So, Carlotta Sterling looked at Old Mills, "I’ll have to bother you then."
"It’s no bother, it’s on the way anyway." Old Mills seemed a bit awkward, "Let’s go." He stepped towards the car, Carlotta Sterling following behind.
Trevor and Janelle Mills watched Old Mills gentlemanly open the passenger door for Sister Sterling, waiting for her to sit inside then closed the door for her.
She couldn’t remember the last time she sat in his passenger seat; the feeling was both strange and familiar, as the car started, Carlotta Sterling felt a bit anxious inside.
"Goodbye, Dad and Mom!"
"Goodbye, Uncle and Aunt!"
Both saw the young people waving to them from outside the car window, like a close-knit family, the titles of Dad and Mom hadn’t been linked together for a long time, yet tonight it felt so natural?
